Introduction

This comic series is a collection of stories about ordinary people in Taipei: an old lady who participates in a singing show to realize the dreams of her youth; a street vendor who suffered from cyberbullying but used the power of the internet to gained justice; a gay man and a lesbian woman who form a family and still maintain their respective relationships…these are the stories that happen in the corners of every city.

    Lan To-ya

    A high-performing 37-year-old lesbian office lady. She marries her longtime friend Huan-yüan because of her desire to have a child. She's married but acts like she's single.

  • Hung Huan-yuan

    Hung Huan-yuan

    A 37-year-old gay dentist. In order to free himself from his controlling parents, he gets married to To-ya, his best friend in high school. Ch'eng-hao is his gay partner that he's been together with since high school.

  • Huang Cheng-hao

    Huang Cheng-hao

    Huan-yüan's gay partner. He's robust yet gentle. For a long time, he felt like life was good enough with Huan-yüan by his side. But as time goes on, he feels they are growing apart. The feeling became stronger since he took on the responsibility of caring for his dementia-stricken mother.

  • Cheng Chia-mei

    Cheng Chia-mei

    A 26-year-old lesbian car salesperson. She and To-ya meet each other through social media.

  • Hung Min-Liang

    Hung Min-Liang

    To-ya's and Huan-yüan's 7-year-old kid. His personality is like To-ya, and he looks like Huan-yüan.

In 2017, Little Things in a Big City Volume 3 was a finalist for the Golden Comic Awards in the “Best Comic for Young Adults” category.

In 2018, Magic Moments - THE ACTOR volume 1 was a finalist at the Golden Comic Awards in the category “Best Comic for Young Adults”.

In 2019, Magic Moments - THE ACTOR volume 2 won an award at the Golden Comic Awards in the category “Best Comic for Young Adults”.

In 2020, Little Things in a Big City Volumes 4 and 5 won the annual comic award at the Golden Comic Awards.

In 2022, Priceless Painting: The Light Hunter in Paris won the annual comic award at the Golden Comic Awards.
